About Me
My name is Alejo Villarroel
and I’m an arranger, bassist, music director, and producer from Córdoba, Argentina. Currently finishing my degree in Contemporary Writing & Production at Berklee College of Music.
Alongside my studies, I’ve worked on large-scale productions working in different roles. During Latin GRAMMY Week, I was part of the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation’s Emerging Talent Showcase as an arranger and music preparator, contributing to performances featuring artists such as Andrés Cepeda, Alain Pérez, Daymé Arocena, and Isaac Delgado. I've also arranged music for artists in Argentina, Spain, United States, Ecuador, amongst others.
My work is rooted in Argentinian and South American music, which I like to combine with contemporary, orchestral, and electronic textures. I’ve written and produced for ensembles ranging from solo and duets, to large-orchestral settings. Including live concerts and studio projects.
I’ve received multiple recognitions for my work, including the Berklee x Nu Deco Experimental Design Lab (with a performance by the Nu Deco Ensemble featuring GRAMMY-winning artist Lupe Fiasco), the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation Emerging Talent Scholarship, the Berklee World Tour Scholarship, and the 2025 Music Preparation Award granted by the Contemporary Writing & Producing Dept. at Berklee.
